Elise Giles is the Capability Development Manager at Asialink Business, Australia’s National Centre for Asia Capability. Elise addresses emerging policy issues and delivers high quality programs and projects in Australia and the ASEAN region. Elise was deployed to Vietnam to strengthen local capacity to address infectious disease threats, and has supported remote communities in Indonesia to develop strategies to solve localised economic and social challenges. Elise recently delivered the program components of the 2019 AVLYD as Policy Manager. Previously, Elise worked within economic and social policy portfolios in the Queensland State Government. In 2019, Elise was recognised as an ASEAN-Australia Young Leader for her ability to drive issues and opportunities of significance to other young leaders across both Australia and the ASEAN region.
