Dr Dang is an arbitrator at his own arbitration chambers, Hop Dang’s Chambers. Previously he was a partner at Allens, an international commercial law firm with offices throughout Australia and Asia. His practice is focussed on cross border infrastructure projects and international commercial arbitration. He has acted as arbitrator in a large number of disputes at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce, the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre and elsewhere. He has taught choice of law, foreign investment law and other subjects in law schools in Vietnam, Singapore, Australia and China. He holds law degrees from both Vietnam and Australia and wrote his doctoral thesis at the University of Oxford on the choice of international law in state contracts.
