Tuan Anh (Ben) Khuat

Ben leads Climateworks’ policy engagement with Vietnamese stakeholders, including initiatives to support Vietnam to achieve net zero targets and to increase collaboration between Australia and Vietnam on decarbonisation and the green economy. Ben also plays a key role in preparing, designing and implementing future projects related to Southeast Asia and Vietnam in particular.

Previously Ben has worked in the government sector for more than a decade with the Vietnam Ministry of Finance, mostly in the field of public finance policies. During this time, he was the Deputy Division Head overseeing capital market regulations and he led the Policy Advisory Group, which provided independent consulting to the Finance Minister, focusing on macroeconomics, state budgeting, corporate finance, taxation and social security policies.

Ben was awarded the Fulbright scholarship to study Master in Public Administration/ International Development at Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University in 2014. He earned his Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance) from Monash University in 2005 and his Master in Business Administration from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 2009
