Facilitate a deeper understanding of Australian and Vietnamese societies and foster long-term, mutually beneficial relationships and collaboration through people-to-people linkages across different sectors.
Develop
Develop global leaders from Australia and Vietnam to shape regional and industry agendas by working closely with stakeholders to define social and business challenges, identify solutions and respond with action in the spirit of global citizenship.
Create & Nurture
Create and nurture an inclusive community of young leaders through dialogues, a strong fellowship network, working groups led by AVYLD ambassadors, events and digital engagement.
Promote
Promote policies and research to support Australia and Vietnam to improve societal outcomes.
Our Purpose
We deliver a biennial or annual dialogue, along with a range of other meetings, forums and events.

These events bring together leaders from Australia and Vietnam - including the delegates and alumni delegates from our dialogues, and other leaders identified through our delegate recruitment and communications.

We use these events to enhance the capabilities of our leaders: building and deepening their relationships; providing them with new skills; challenging them with new paradigms and ensuring they understand how they can and should support Australia, Vietnam and the bilateral relationship to achieve the United Nations SDGs.

Our Journey
The Beginning
Founded in 2015 to embark on a mission to bridge the gap between Australia and Vietnam and shape the future of their bilateral relationship.
First Dialogue
The first inaugural dialogue held in Sydney in 2017 marked a significant milestone for AVLD, bringing together prominent leaders and visionaries for an engaging exchange of ideas and insights.
RISE
RISE, the sub-brand of AVLD founded in 2021, represents a dynamic extension of our mission, focusing on empowering young leaders and fostering innovative solutions.
50 Year Memorandum
The 50-year memorandum between Australia and Vietnam marks a pivotal moment in their relationship, and AVLD's connection amplifies our role in fostering impactful initiatives and strengthening ties between the two nations.
