Investing in Women

Son is a gender and development practitioner wholeheartedly committed to empowering local organizations and grassroots communities.

He is currently the Campaigns and Communities of Practice Partnerships Manager at Investing in Women, an initiative of the Australian Government catalysing inclusive economic growth through women’s economic empowerment. Son is also the co-founder of Well-done Communications, a not-for-profit project promoting the use of participatory development communication to strengthen voices of marginalized groups.

Initially, Son’s passion for social justice was ignited during his time at iSEE Institute where he worked closely with diverse ethnic minority and queer activist groups. He also actively contributed to Hanoi Pride as a member of the organizing committee from 2016 to 2018 and again in 2023.

In 2022, as a recipient of the Australia Awards Scholarship, Son earned his master’s degree in Development Studies from the University of Melbourne.

His life motto: “Expect less, experience more.”
