AU & VN Prime Ministers recognise the role of young leaders as crucial in bilateral relationship

4 September 2021

The Australia Vietnam Leadership Dialogue is pleased to have received remarks from the Hon Scott Morrison MP, Prime Minister of Australia and HE Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam inspiring and energising the 2021 delegates to drive forward the important bilateral relationship. The messages are in support of the third Australia Vietnam Young Leadership Dialogue hosted virtually on 4-9 September 2021.

The messages recognise the contributions of young leaders from both Vietnam and Australia to support the fight against COVID-19, and to their capability to tackle some of our greatest future challenges.

The bilateral relationship is based on great strength, trust and reciprocity, as evidenced with the support for each other during COVID-19, including vaccine supply to Vietnam, and hundreds of thousands of medical masks supply to Australia when in need.
